About Me

Jordan Casaundra Cross is a musician, singer/songwriter, and painter from the small city of Hopewell, VA. Because her father was a musician, they had different musical instruments in the house and Jordan would find herself seeing what she could do on the keyboard. She learned a few songs on her own and that is where her love for piano started. In 2014, she studied under Mrs. Jonette Jackson (Hopewell, VA) until she attended Virginia State University as an undergrad in 2018 pursuing her degree in Piano Performance under Dr. Wan Peterson and Dr. Weldon Hill. In her years of being at Virginia State, she was fortunate to also study jazz music under Mr. James “Saxsmo” Gates, being featured to be the lead singer and songwriter of many performances.

In 2017, Jordan started playing and singing for Word of Life Center, her grandfather’s church in Hopewell, VA. In while doing so, she gave her life to the Lord Jesus Christ, received baptism of water and the Holy Spirit, and grew spiritually over time. Over the years, Jordan grew to love God and others more each day as she grew in relationship with God. In 2019, God revealed to Jordan that He wanted to use her in her music, writing (both musical composition and prophetic), and painting skills. Jordan has always been an artist but lost all confidence in her senior year of high school and stopped drawing/painting until one year later in 2019 when the Lord called her to begin painting again. Now, more than ever, she is sure that God has given her a beautiful gift of music and painting and she is going to use it to her best ability as the Holy Spirit leads her.
